Apartment Review for University House Apartments - Tempe, AZ

I moved in here taking over my friends lease. She had put a deposit in which you won't get back if they have to fix something. Before I moved I cleaned EVERYTHING from head to toe except for the carpet in which needed to be cleaned. A little while after I moved out, I recieved a statement in the mail from them saying I owed them over $400. They were charging $10 for toilet cleaning etc. All this bunch of crap. Isn't that what the deposit is for? The only thing that needed to be done was the carpets and that doesn't cost anything. Oh ya, they sent me to collections for that. I'm not paying them a dime. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!
