Nice apartments if you don't like nice things....
Review Date: 1/12/2010 Reviewer: Anonymous
This is a very nice apartment as far as the looks, space and location. You better not leave anything in your car! I've been here for two years, had two different cars parked beneath the private, gated, underground parking garage and within the past 6 months (1/11/2010) have had my car window busted out and it's contents removed. I had an aftermarket stereo system installed one week ago, today I found my window of my 93 VW GTI popped off with precision and all of my stereo equipment stripped from the vehicle. About 6 months ago my other car, a 92 Mazda Protege was broken into through the window and my entire semester of college notes and books for my programming class was taken in addition to a debit card left in my backpack. Luckily I was able to recover the money spent on my debit card, however if you think having a luxury apartment with a gated, underground parking garage keeps you safe, think again! The same Jeep that was broken into 6 months ago at the same time mine was was also broken into last night!!! Coincidence or inside job??? NOTE When I called the police, as soon as they arrived I heard from my balcony (that overlooks the office) the manager (Michael) ask what the officers needed, we went downstairs to meet the police officer, however as soon as I reached the parking log, the manager was pacing the parking lot and asked me how I was doing. When I asked if the police were here, he said he didn't know about any police being here. LIE! I heard him ask what they needed when they arrived at the leasing office!!! When I told him my car had been broken into he replied that he wished there was more he could do. During that 15 minutes the maintenance staff conveniently removed the intact passenger side glass from the scene of the crime as the police arrived to fingerprint. When I demanded the glass be returned to me at once, they brought it back crumpled up and devoid of any valid fingerprints. Sound fishy to you? Don't get my wrong, the Lofts are a nice community minus getting your car ravaged on a 6 month revolving cycle. Once they took my backpack with all of my notes and final research, the next time they removed over $1000 in stereo equipment I had just installed a week prior. Think again before moving here if you have nice things. |
