Apartment Review for The Gateway At Tempe - Tempe, AZ

Let's just get down to the facts. 1. I have never dealt with such unprofessional management in my life. Maybe it's because everyone working in the office is a student & knows absolutely nothing? Or perhaps it's the three managers that don't care about any of the residents needs or concerns because they're too busy eating those (obviously not homemade) cookies all day while sitting at their desks. Everytime I went into that office with an issue, nothing ever became of it or was solved. 2. For some odd reason they liked to rack up late fees on my account even when my payment was on time? That's weird. I would make trips into that useless office to try & talk to the Accountant but she barely speaks English, how convienent. So you're basically left to translate or just pay the damn fees, take your pick. 3. Maintainence is HORRIBLE. If you want something fixed you better call about a month in advance. Everything is broken when you move in & everything stays broken for about a month until they get around to it. It's probably because they're hungover from partying with all the college kids the night before. 4. Safety is clearly not something Gateway can pride themselves on. Their gates are broken half the time so anyone can stroll on in at any time & the Rent-A-Cops they have walking around barely do anything. 5. The actual unit you move into looks NOTHING like the model they show you, go figure. I don't think I've ever been more nauseated then the first time I opened my apartment door (which looks a door you would find on the south side of Chicago, all dented & beat up like someone tried to break in) on move-in day. Absolutely disgusting. But supposedly they clean before residents move in? They obvi need to hire like Merry Maid or something. Bottom line.. DO NOT EVER LIVE HERE. It's been the worst experience of my life. It's definitely not worth it for the amount of money you pay or suffering you go through.
