Apartment Review for The Gateway At Tempe - Tempe, AZ

The staff at the gateway told me before I moved in that the entire apartment complex was getting new carpets, new couches, etc. When I arrived on the move-in date, none of this was done. I walked up to my door (which looked like it was punched in by a 300 pound linebacker), opened it, and the smell of puke, urine, and dirty bong water filled my nostrils. The brown and purple stains on the rugs, the ripped up counter tops, and the cigarette burns on the couch were the least of my worries as I walked into my bathroom. The toilet was filled with urine, not my urine to say the least and the drawers were filled with garbage. Then, there was my bedroom, puke stains on the mattress...yes puke stains ... you think before the gateway let people move in, they would clean everything up? No, of course not. The office staff is a bunch of 10 year olds who are rude and unwilling to help screw in a simple light bulb. There are broken bars on the fence in front of my apt. which they said they would fix ...but by the time they do that, i'm sure i'll be murdered already. If you've read all of this and still decide to live at the Gateway ... good luck.
