Apartment Review for Tempe Groves - Tempe, AZ

The condition of the apartments is OK. The staff is very arrogant - nice if you have no questions or complaints. The place is very noisy, and the management could give 2 hoots about it, as evidenced by the landscapers with leaf-blowers outside your window at 7:30am. Worse is that they are lax with normal residential rules, so the place often looks like a ghetto with people hanging laundry off the balconies, storing junk outside, halloween decorations still up in May. They have pretty nice facilities - several pools, a tennis court and fitness center, but there is no security to stop people from all over jumping the fence and hanging out all night. Then there are the tenants, smoking and drinking at all hours in their front patio with smoke pouring into your apartment, and beer cans and cigarette butts everywhere. Of course if you seek refuge in your apartment, there is the loud banging of doors and cabinets from upstairs and pounding of footsteps to keep you company. I was re-reading some of the reviews here and I completely forgot about the nickle and diming for the first year it was incredible, not to mention getting you to come back and sign lease addendums without telling you exactly what they are for [and they won t let you have time to read it]. But don t dare say anything to the staff - amazing how a minimum wage worker can still have a power trip and imply that you can take it or leave it. Luckily, I am leaving it - happily !!
