Apartment Review for Sycamore Shadows - Tempe, AZ

i was 18 and was ready to go to college and live on my own for the first time. this place is directly across the street from mesa community college. perfect, right? think again. management is garbage, they give you your keys and then you are on your own. typical mesa place, huge families crammed into 2 bedroom apartments homes. grounds looked awful and werent cared for properly at all. maintenance SUCKED! my roommate/brothers bed was ruined from water damage due to water leaking through holes in the roof. leaks all throughout the place. apartment refused to take responsibility for this, yet once we moved out they replaced the entire roof above our unit. security? nonexistent. cars were constantly being a broken into. big groups of guys hung out at the community entrance and all thoughout the parking lot at every hour of the night. my brother and i were pretty much the only white residents at the place.

this is a dump. my stay here could not have ended sooner. one more decaying apartment community in the east valley. the only good thing is that it is a minute walk to the mcc campus. just stay away from mesa altogether if you can.
