Apartment Review
acceptable unit but the manager is really a nightm

The unit in the commons on the lemon is good, at least attractive to me at the first glimpse. Spacious apartment with ceiling fan, in-unit laundry. However, the building is really old, though looks good from the outside. like broken blinds, shatty bathroom, blocked pipes is normal. The manager stopped the water several time without any notice. I have to report to the manager frequently. The annoying part is the manager does not have an onsite office. Once there's any problem, you have to call them and they'll ask someone to come to your apartment to fix it. And the resident, most of the time, have to wait home for someone to fix the problem. Most of the time, it can be fixed in one week, but occasionally you have to wait for one or two months for them to order parts. The most ridiculous part is that you might have to pay the fee for repair according to the judge of the manager. You also need to ask a professional carpet cleaning to steam clean the carpet before moving out. If you do not do that, your $600 security deposit would be deducted. Don't bet you can get much back, the manager would take your deposit for all kinds of excuses. Most of the apartments there are facing a swimming pool. So in weekends, it is quite often that some people have parities there and the noise keeps going on until 2-3 am. Each apartment has one covered parking. But be careful! Do park in your spot. I once parked in a unoccupied spot that no one is using it and thanks to our GREAT manager, my car got towed immediately. I would not complain if I occupy somebody else's spot. But actually nobody is using that spot. It is really FUNNY to see the tower vehicle in the commons every two-or-three days. I'm wondering why the maintenance is so slow but the towing and charge is so fast. Thank god! I finally moved out and do not need to deal with the bitches there.
