Apartment Review for Campus Pointe - Tempe, AZ

The main problem at this complex is the management, which treats their tenants like trash. A new management company took over a few months ago, and they don't care about their residents at all. They don't honor the terms of the lease and will try to screw you out of money every chance they get. The maintenance is also terrible, and it can take weeks just to get a light fixed. They schedule noisy tree work to be done in the middle of the complex courtyard at 7am on Sundays, and the office staff will outright lie to you about their policies so that you do things for which they can charge you later. Then they deny saying it later and maintain that you don't have it in writing so you can't prove it. They will come up with any kind of reason to keep your security deposit and they will refuse to talk to you about it, so don't count on getting your deposit back ever. Also, they wait until the end of May or even June to turn on the air conditioning, so you might get heat stroke from your apartment. Everything inside mine that could melt did before they turned on the air, and it is impossible to sleep at night it is so hot. I wouldn't recommend this place for even my worst enemy...even being close to campus, it is a terrible place to live. Definitely go for one of the many other complexes close to campus.
