Nice remodeled apartments, horrible customer servi

I have lived here for three years. I originally loved the place, the units themselves are awesome, as long as you got a renovated one that is. The units themselves are old, and maybe half were renovated two years ago. Since then I am not sure. Property management has been changed several times. There is no one in the actual "office" ever. The HOA president is the owner of most units. Their whole family (included extended family) has purchased a unit or two. They are not very service oriented. If there is a complaint, depending on who the owner is it will either be resolved in a week, or whenever the actual owner comes to town (which could be several months). They do not seem to care if you have a complaint, for example, the pool has been shut down ever summer I have lived here. Instead of taking care of the issues during the winter, they discover a issue during the summer and shut the place down. Do not expect fast or friendly help if any problem occurs in your unit. If help does come along, it will most likely be at an inconvenient time for you; the owner does not care, they are already annoyed that there was a problem to begin with. The noise level is ok, depending on where you live in the complex. The walls are pretty alright, except by the door, where you can hear your neighbor close their door very loudly. If you are not on the top floor, you can hear everything going on above you. However, as long as no problems occur, then all is well. I would suggest that you take an unit that the owners do not have direct contact with you. Instead, look for a unit that the property management is the go-to and middleman.
